Depending on your device, recharging is done via USB or DC Jack. Always use the charger that comes with your device, or optionally a compatible charging adapter sold on the ARCHOS online store.

The first time you use your device, we recommend that you turn on your device and use it until the battery is completly drained. Once the battery is empty, recharge it for at least 8 hours. 

This type of operation is recommended every six months to prolong the life of your battery. Between two cycles, you can charge your device whenever the need arises.
