The Mini Cam uses 3 Lithium CR2450 / 3V batteries to operate and take photos / videos. 
To change the batteries, simply unscrew the middle part by turning counterclockwise and then remove the batteries. Make sure you insert the batteries in the same orientation, the bottom of the battery (-) being the contact zone with the connectors.
